1. Registration and personal data
Placing an order in the web shop does not require registration. By registering in the web shop, you can make your purchases faster and view your orders. The e-mail address used for registration serves as the customer´s username. The password is set by the customer upon registration. The username and password are personal. The customer must keep the username and password in a safe place and so that they do not come into the knowledge or possession of outsiders. The customer is responsible for all use of his/her user code and password and for any costs or fees that this entails.
The customer must provide the information needed to use the web shop services. Merchant has the right to handle the customer´s personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and other legislation. The customer´s information will be saved in the customers register of the web shop. Merchant will not disclose information about the customer to third parties for direct marketing, distance selling or other direct marketing. Information about the customer will be deleted from the customer register when they are no longer needed.
2. Placing an order
Products are mainly ordered via kristiinankaupunki.cpu.fi through a shopping cart. All orders are confirmed by e-mail, where the price of the order as well as the ordered products are listed. In order to receive an order confirmation, the e-mail address must be given when ordering. When ordering from the web shop the customer agrees to follow the web shop´s Terms of Use and Delivery and to the special requirements that are valid at the time of the order as well as the special terms applying to the product ordered.
3. Payment methods
The products must be paid for when placing the order. Online payments take place via a secure connection through the suomi.fi service. Orders can be paid for by using the Finnish banks´ online payment and card payment service of Nets AB (Visa and MasterCard) and MobilePay.
4. Prices and VAT
When you place your order in the web shop, the valid price is the price shown at the point of placing the order in the web shop. We reserve the right to change prices. All prices are shown in euros (EUR). All product prices in the web shop include VAT.
5. Delivery time and method
If the product is in our stock, we will send it within 1-5 working days after your order has been registered in our system. Products will be delivered by post.
6. Return and exchange
In accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act the customer has the right to exchange and return the product within 14 days of delivery. We do not accept returns after 14 days from delivery. The returned/exchanged product together with the original package must be returned in the same condition in which they were received. The customer is liable for any costs caused incurred by returning/exchanging the product, unless the delivery is obviously incorrect due to the supplier.
Return of products must always be agreed separately with the supplier. We request that the customer contacts the supplier before returning the product.
7. Service maintenance, usability and defects
Merchant will make every effort to ensure that the web shop functions correctly and without interruption. Merchant is entitled to interrupt the web shop activities due to changes and renewals or technical reasons, due to maintenance, installation and service work or an equivalent reason and when required by law or another official regulations. Merchant aims to make the interruptions without causing undue disruption to the customer.
Merchant is not responsible for defects due to interruptions in data communication connections provided by third parties or in other data communications, nor to flaws in such these services. Merchant is neither responsible for defects which are due to the customer using the web shop contrary to instructions or regulations or faults that have otherwise been caused by the customer.
8. Information security
The web shop is SSL secured. Customer is responsible for ensuring appropriate information security in the customers own information systems. Merchant maintains the confidentiality of all information concerning or submitted by the customer. Merchant maintains the security of the web shop in a generally acceptable and efficient way and strives to appropriate technical solutions to prevent unauthorised access to its data systems.
9. Equipment, software and network connections
The customer is responsible for acquiring and maintaining the equipment, software and network connections required to use the web shop, for their operation and costs. They must not disturb or otherwise inconvenience the web shop or other network users.
10. Contractual liability
Merchant is liable to the customer only for immediate damages caused intentionally by a breach of contract. If it can be confirmed that the error is due to the merchant, the customer may be reimbursed for the costs unjustifiably charged by the merchant in the web shop.
Merchant is not obliged to pay damages, nor any other indirect or direct compensation or indemnification due to such disturbances or errors referred to in paragraph 6.
12. Force majeure
A force majeure event relieves Merchant from obligations connected to the web shop if it prevents delivery from the web shop or causes unreasonable inconvenience in connection with the delivery. A force majeure event includes a fire, earthquake, flood, explosion, strike or other work stoppage, a government order, a disruption in the supply of energy, a shortage of raw materials or accessories, and cable and other data communications interference caused by or due to an external or other similar cause which are not known or for which it has not been possible to prepare for in advance with reasonable actions. Merchant must inform about an insurmountable obstacle on the webpage of the web shop immediately after it arises in case it is possible to give such a notice.
13. Amendment of Terms of Use and Delivery
Merchant is entitled to amend the Terms of Use and Delivery after announcing the upcoming amendment in the web shop well in advance before they enter into force.
14. Resolution of Disputes
Any disputes concerning this agreement during contract time will primarily be resolved through negotiation between the parties. If the parties can not reach an agreement, the dispute will be resolved in the district court according to Finnish law.
